SAFED was founded in 1936, at Delémont in Switzerland and since the beginning the emphasis has been on the development and manufacture of heat treatment installations for mass-produced components made of ferrous and nonferrous metals for a very wide variety of industries. Nowadays the SAFED range consists of a wide variety of installations with conveyor belts or shaker hearth plates in continuous operation, heated by electricity or natural gas and having an output ranging from 2 to 1600 kg/hour. Continuous developments in techniques, applied to processes and plant design, have enabled SAFED to maintain a leading role in the international market and ensure that its customers have highly cost-effective products that will perform well for a long time. By manufacturing most of the subassemblies such as, for example, welded assemblies in refractory steel and by assembling all of its machines in its own workshops, SAFED guarantees the high quality of its products and ensures that they continue to maintain the highest state of development. The SAFED applications centre (CAS) is also of primary importance for running initial trials, developing new processes and analysing the special applications requested by our customers. The AICHELIN group has an international reputation in the field of heat treatment installations and accessories and SAFED has been part of this group
